Obesity has been tied to a number of chronic diseases, as well as high absenteeism and low productivity on the job. BeneFIT can help employers support their employees’ health through Worth the Weight, an effective weight management program available to employers of all sizes.
Our program steers clear of prescriptive diets or special menus. It works by shifting perspective and emphasizing self-awareness. Led by a registered dietitian who is a board-certified health coach, Worth the Weight encourages employees to share life, make discoveries, and tackle weight management in a new way.
Worth the Weight, currently being conducted virtually, provides immersion in nutrition, motivation, and self-exploration. A preparative video and interactive workbook are included with the program.
To start and end the course we conduct surveys, which highlight achievements for each employee. Body composition assessments using the Tanita scale are completed during in-person sessions only (once they resume post-COVID-19).
Employers can keep the momentum going through BeneFIT’s Health Coaching program. Included with the weight management program, health coaching features board-certified health coaches who are trained in behavior change.
Consultation with BeneFIT’s Certified Health Education Specialists is available to help you assess, plan, and/or evaluate your company’s environment and health policies to promote and support weight management for your workforce.
