For many, the winter holiday season is a time of cheer and celebration. It can be a chance to spend time with family and friends and enjoy good food and gift-giving. But for some, the holiday season can feel like a rushed and stressful time, bringing with it financial worries, extra travel, family drama, or sadness for those who may be coping with the loss of loved ones. Social media and advertising often portray idealized versions of what the holidays should look like, causing us to compare and come up short.

What you’ll learn and experience:

  • The basics of mindfulness – what it is and what it is not
  • A brief mindfulness practice
  • How mindfulness can help us respond vs. react to holiday challenges
  • How to let go of patterns and habits that are no longer of service
  • Ways to prioritize the meaning of the season and true connection with others
