Carol Noel Michaels, Administrator of Care Coordination at Populytics named President-Elect of the PA American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) for 2023.

Carol Noel Michaels, MPH, MCHES®, Administrator of Care Coordination at Populytics, a population health management firm and subsidiary of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), has been named President-Elect of the Pennsylvania chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) for 2023. She was nominated, voted-in, and she accepted the role after serving as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee and after being an active member in the Pennsylvania chapter of the ACHE for many years.

Membership in ACHE of Eastern PA provides the opportunity for today’s health care leaders to share their experiences, take advantage of networking opportunities, and attend educational events presented by local, state, and national health care experts. According to leaders, the organization’s vision is to be the pre-eminent professional society for health care executives dedicated to improving health. It lists its values as integrity, lifelong learning, leadership, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The chapter serves as the regional ACHE chapter for Berks, Bradford, Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, and Wyoming counties and hosts up to six programs annually, many of which offer continuing education credits.

“This year the board has expanded its membership with some outstanding professionals and the activities schedule is engaging and diverse,” says Nina Taggart, MA, MD, MBA, FAAO, Senior Medical Director of Accountable Care at Valley Preferred, the provider organization affiliated with LVHN and Populytics. “We are pleased and proud that Carol will be helping to further the organization’s worthwhile mission. She is an excellent choice, modelling integrity, lifelong learning, and a community focus.”

The ACHE of Eastern Pennsylvania was established in 1994 as the Eastern Pennsylvania Healthcare Executive Network and received its charter as an independent chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives several years later. Founders of our regional ACHE Chapter were John Haney, LFACHE, and the late J. Michael Lee, DBA, LFACHE.
