Responsible for strategic planning and execution of BeneFITSM Corporate Wellness Programs, Ms. Michaels actively promotes healthier lifestyles within companies across the Lehigh Valley. She also leads and coordinates health and wellness initiatives for Lehigh Valley Health Network employees. An active member of the national and local chapters of Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)/EPAHEN, Michaels has worked on key health issues with the National Institutes of Health and with local community health initiatives in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has been published in multiple professional health journals and co-authored the award-winning BeneFITSM Toolkit.

Named in honor of EPAHEN founders J. Michael Lee, former President/CEO of Hospital Central Services and John Haney, COO of St. Luke’s Physician Group, the Lee-Haney Founders Award recognizes an EPAHEN member who embodies the mission and vision of its founders as well as the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Nominees must demonstrate exceptional achievement in their respective organization and have proven leadership in either EPAHEN or ACHE, as well as leadership and involvement within the community.
