Allentown, PA — An international journal on health promotion and education has published a peer-reviewed article by two members of the BeneFIT Corporate Wellness team.

Featured in the July, 2013, edition of Health Promotion Practice is the article titled “Worksite Wellness: Increasing Adoption of Workplace Health Promotion Programs” authored by Carol Michaels, MPH, MCHES, Director, Health Promotion and Wellness of BeneFIT Corporate Wellness.

Health Promotion Practice is the official publication of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), an independent professional association with a membership of nearly 4,000 health education professionals and students throughout the United States and 25 international countries.

Innovative how-to tips from the Michaels work will also be featured in the third annual issue of Tools of the Trade, an easy access guide on key health promotion and education techniques produced annually by SOPHE for front-line practitioners, teachers and students.  Tool’s  release is timed for the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting & Exposition held November 2 – 6, 2013 in Boston.  According to the APHA website, the event will draw 13,000 health professionals “to address current and emerging health science, policy and practice issues in an effort to prevent disease and promote health.”
