Populytics, Inc., regional leader in population health management and analytics, has added Stephanie Fischer to its leadership team as Director, Payment Innovation. Populytics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) and aligned with Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Organization (LVPHO)/Valley Preferred, a leading provider-owned Preferred Provider Organization. Collectively, as these organizations continue to expand their relationships with commercial insurers and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), payment innovation is essential to coordination of care and development of pathways to improve health care and reduce waste.
In her new role, Fischer oversees the facilitation, implementation, and performance of value based contracts for LVHN and Valley Preferred. Fischer is responsible for leading activities with third party payers and internal teams to analyze, negotiate, and manage value based contracts. She collaborates closely with other teams, including Populytics’ Insurance Services and Valley Preferred, to stay aligned on current programs, policies and strategies.
Previously, Fischer was a Director in the Advisory Services and Revenue Recovery practice of Revint Solutions (formerly IMA Consulting), based near Philadelphia. Prior to joining Revint, she was with e4 Services, where she was an Account Manager and Program Director. She was also a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte Consulting in New York City, and a HIM Manager for Middlesex Hospital.
Fischer earned an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the Villanova School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Pittsburgh. A certified Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) from American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), she has also achieved certification in Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation and was certified as an ICD-10 CM/PCS Approved Trainer from AHIMA.
Fischer currently serves as a Board Member of the Philadelphia Health Financial Management Association (HFMA). She received a Yerger award when serving as Chair of the Mentor Committee Chair for Metro Philadelphia Chapter HFMA and was a recipient of Mark L Richards Mentorship Award in 2019. Previously, Fischer served as Secretary for Southeast Pennsylvania Health Information Management Association (SePHIMA) and Program Chair for Pennsylvania Health Information Management Association (PHIMA).
