The Epidemic of Loneliness

Hybrid and remote work can be isolating. We'll examine how loneliness affects mental and emotional well-being and help workers feel more connected in any environment.

In May the U.S. Surgeon General called loneliness a crisis and declared its contribution to premature death similar to smoking. The pandemic didn’t help, putting workers into hybrid and remote working arrangements that can isolate them from their co-workers and group interaction. In this free webinar, Preferred EAP Program Director Carolyn Lamparella, EdS, LPC, will examine how loneliness affects our mental and emotional well-being. She’ll also discuss ways employers can help through communication, management, and personal skills that foster inclusion and help workers of all types feel connected, psychologically safe, and valued.
