Ryan Miquel has been selected by Lehigh Valley Business as one of this year’s winners in the “Forty Under 40” awards program, which celebrates 40 of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s most accomplished young businessmen and women. Miquel is Manager, IT Infrastructure and Development at Populytics, Inc., wholly owned population health and data analytics subsidiary of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). With the company for four years, he is part of the team that expertly delivers tools and technology to his organization’s leaders and staff to enable them to be more successful, efficient, and secure in performing their job functions.
Miquel’s expertise lies in knowing the company’s tools and technology inside and out. In data analytics and population health, everything relies on technology, so the team needs to also be responsive and completely customer/staff focused. Demands of the position include meeting critical timelines, high expectations, and the ability to always be available – whenever called upon.

Regarding special projects, Miquel is leading the team (alongside Dan Arbeider) in the transition of Populytics’ entire IT platform away from Lehigh Valley Health Network to its own separate operational system/organization. This is a complete migration involving new software tools and implementing systems that will properly secure Populytics’ data. The project is immense in scope and is therefore being conducted in phases. When complete, Miquel says he will look back at it as his most significant professional accomplishment to date.
Prior to joining Populytics, Miquel worked for PPL Corporation, Allentown, PA, as Associate Application Developer, Application Developer, Senior Programmer/Analyst, and finally IT Technical Lead. He graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Information and Systems Engineering and a Minor in Economics. An advocate of team sports, besides playing himself most of his life, Miquel has assisted with the basketball and soccer programs at Plumstead Christian School, where he attended high school, and coaches his son’s soccer team.
The Forty Under 40 winners will be honored Sept. 8 at an online event at noon. Each of the honorees will be celebrated for their achievements through video storytelling.
