BeneFIT Corporate Wellness
NCHEC Outstanding Service & Leadership Award
BeneFIT was selected by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) to receive the 2017 Outstanding Service & Leadership Award in the organizational/employer category. The award recognizes exemplary commitment to the advancement of the Health Education Profession and of the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) and Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES®) credentials. The mission of NCHEC is to enhance the professional practice of Health Education by promoting and sustaining a credentialed body of Health Education Specialists.
NBHWC Board Certification
All BeneFIT coaches complete a board-approved course to become Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (CHWC). Those that are board certified are credentialed through the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC).
NCQA Accreditation
Accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for Wellness and Health Promotion means that BeneFIT has achieved the highest level of performance possible to help clients promote healthy behavior change and create healthy environments for sustainable progress. The BeneFIT program received NCQA’s 2-year Accreditation four times (2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019) and earned the new 3-year Accreditation, which runs from Aug. 3, 2021, to Aug. 3, 2024. In 2020, BeneFIT also obtained the Population Health Program Accreditation. This accreditation recognizes the Clinical Health Coaching program, which provides evidence-based health coaching by clinically trained and certified coaches to assist individuals with self management of diabetes, asthma (adult and pediatric), hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic heart failure, and coronary artery disease. BeneFIT is committed to continuously improving programs and processes to maintain NCQA standing.

For the fifth year in a row, Populytics was named one of the Lehigh Valley’s Fastest Growing Companies. The announcement was made by Lehigh Valley Business and its event sponsors, Baker Tilly and Highmark. The Fastest Growing Companies awards program honors the Greater Lehigh Valley’s most dynamic businesses that progressively contribute to the success of the region’s economic growth and stability. Forty-five winning firms are chosen based on their last three years of performance as evidenced though financial information and tax returns.
2020 NCQA Case Management Accreditation
National Committee For Quality Assurance
Populytics has been awarded the highest (three-year) Accreditation in Case Management by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The committee awards the status of “Accredited–3 years” to organizations that demonstrate strong performance of the functions outlined in the standards for Case Management accreditation, which are purposely set high to encourage organizations to continuously enhance their quality. The Accreditation moves the industry closer to measuring quality across population health management initiatives by adding value to existing quality improvement efforts, and also by demonstrating an organization’s commitment to the highest degree of improving the quality of their patients’ care.
2018 AMGA-Optum Award for Innovation in Population Health

Lehigh Valley Health Network received the 2018 AMGA–Optum Award for Innovation in Population Health during AMGA’s Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ. Sponsored by the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) and national health services and innovation firm, Optum, the award recognizes pioneering work in the field. Populytics spearheads the innovative work that made receipt of the award possible. According to sponsors, it is “a direct attestation to the positive outcomes LVHN and Populytics have had in improving the health of patients, as well as advancing the business model for population health.”
2016 Transformation in Health Care Customer Award
Optum Analytics
Brian Nester, DO, MS, MBA, CPE, FACOEP, President and CEO of Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), was nominated for Optum Analytics’ Transformation in Health Care Customer Award, and Mark Ungvarsky, CPHIT, Administrator, Payer and Provider Informatics, Populytics, Inc., accepted the nomination at Optum’s Forum 2016. Recognized as a pioneer in the use of predictive modeling, LVHN uses informatics and analytics, provided by partner Populytics, Inc., to merge LVHN’s clinical data and claims data in a powerful analysis of its practices and costs. The award recognizes the two organizations for showing how data and a forward-looking philosophy can improve the delivery of health care.
